Hi BC Guru's, 

I'm trying to post a physical inventory journal but I keep running into an error on one item.

I checked the dimensions on the line and it has a DEPT code already selected.

I'm not sure why it only occurs with this one item. All other items were able to post through except for this one.

    Have you checked the dimension setup on your G/L Account 14300.

    And what account is that?

    Yes, 14300 is Raw materials.

    It has Dept code mandatory.

    Hello,

    I normally do not have Dimension Mandatory set on any Balance Sheet account. Income Statement, yes for Dimensional reporting and analysis. The error is telling me you have a missing Dimension Department, for every Raw Material Item in your Physical Journal entry. You would need to update every record. However, as I mentioned, I teach my customer not to set a Default/Mandatory Dimension on Balance Sheet accounts.
