HI-

I am trying to print the Fixed Asset Depreciation Detail report from SSRS.  Myself and another user receives the below error message. I have security setup for all appropriate users.  Can you guide me in correcting this error?

  • An error has occurred during report processing. (rsProcessingAborted)
    • Query execution failed for dataset 'dsPrmAssetType'. (rsErrorExecutingCommand)

The EXECUTE permission was denied on the object 'FA_FUNC_Asset_Type', database 'FEDER', schema 'dbo'.

You don't have SQL permissions to the FEDER database.

Have your IT add your Active Directory account via the SQL Studio Server Management Tool.  They will add FEDER database to your profile and select the DYNGRP role.  They could alternately add DATAREADER Role.

The DYNGRP Role will give you permissions to all SQL objects in the FEDER database.

    HI!

We are changing our IT structure, so I don't have anyone to ask about this:(

I located SQL, located myself and FEDER.  DYNGRP was already selected.  I then clicked the datareader, but I am still receiving the same error. What could I be missing?

    Your assistance is greatly appreciated!!!

The permission needs to be on your Nicole Active Directory account, not your SQL account.  The screenshot you show is the SQL permission for the Nicole SQL account.

It would be the user id that you use to login to your workstation.

Oops - I think I read your initial response incorrectly.

I did locate our Active directory, I have access to the GP USers role, but the additional security still unclear to me and our in house IT.

Thank you for the quick response. Have a great weekend.
