Hi,
I have a requirement to send marketing email to my prospects list which contains around 50k Members. I cannot run a automation marketing campaign on my prospects in CRM because there is a limitation that we can create a segment with last entity should be contact, because segments only target contacts, My question is here that i just want to send email to prospects for this i have to add 50k record in my contact entity and on;y then i can create a segment and customer journey. But i dont want to add my prospects as my customers because they are actually not my customers, i just want to approach them first time through an email how can i do that ?, Is it possible with dynamics 365 crm Marketing module ?
Hi Fariha,
When you mention “prospects” are you talking about lead records in CRM? If you are, then you will not be able to contact them via e-mail sends through the application.
These 50K prospects should be contacts in your database otherwise you will not be able to use them in your segments, as the marketing application is centered around contact records.
You could create your contacts with a type of “Prospect”, add them to a segment and start sending e-mails and nurture them through your customer journey.

Yes I'm talking about leads but unfortunately we cannot create segments with leads entity. you're right marketing module is centered around contact records.
