Search function for Customer List NAV 2016

I have a client that has customers with an '&' symbol in their company name. Client is unable to search the customer list in the right hand corner of Dynamics Nav 2016 for a customer with that symbol in their name example, T&T Lumber. Is there something that can be done to use that symbol in the search field?

There may be instances where field values contain these symbols and you want to filter on them. To do this, you must include the filter expression that contains the symbol in quotation marks (''). For example, if you want to filter on records that start with the text S&R, the filter expression is 'S&R*'.

You need use '*T&T*' , you need to use quotation marks around your search criteria.

These are special character which are used in development, you should not use these.

Hi,

There are special characters that can't be used in the coding structure of any record that have a unique id or code, such as Master Data codes in Dynamics NAV.
