Microsoft Security Issue With Passwords GP 2010?????

Hello!

We are on GP 2010 with RDK Windows 2008 in a virtual server environment. When a user changes their password or answers yes to 'time to change password', the 'information server' is rebooting. Or different way to describe is attempting a password change shuts something down in GP that is causing entries for users not to post etc. The SA is having to be emailed the password we choose and they are setting it manually.

We have been told that 'Microsoft has a security hole in this area'.

We have just upgraded from GP 10 and a non virtual/regular server environment when this showed up.
