Release 43 - Planning Optimization - Keep pegging between approved planned orders

Hello Community,

I'm working on some news features and currently on this fonctionality related to MAster planning and new features to keep pegging between approved planned orders for Planning Optimization
 
I'm trouble with that.
I cant reach out what exactly this functionality is supposed to achieve.
 
Is there anyone who could help me to understand this?
 
I'm testing with parameter activated or not, or with functionality enabled or not. It's always the same results : all my confirmed planned orders have already pegging maintained between them.
 
I'm working with planning optimization

    Good day,
     
    To my knowledge, pegging is the process of linking planned supply (such as planned production, purchase, or transfer orders) to demand (including sales orders, forecasts, or dependent demand from another order).
     
    I believe this feature ensures that the system maintains the link between planned supply and demand.

    Hi and thanks for your reply.
     
    To my knowledge, all these links that you mention already exist before confirmation and even after.
     
    Example:  
    After firming purchasing planned order created from Sales Order requirement , 
    we can go this SO form and through sales line's button called Product & Supply > Multilevel pegging we already have to access to new PO just created, even with the new function disabled.

    I've understand the achievement of this new function lies between FIFO and marking.
    But all my tests with new SO consuming supplies in progress for other SO already planned, do not confirm this new functionality.

    I really don't understand what this function is supposed to achieve.
