In a project I have got the question if it possible to combine different inventory models for different kind of item model groups? For example
Can it be possible to have and manage this 2 different inventory models in the same legal entity?
Thank you in advance for your kind helt
Hi,
Yes you can. It depends on the item.
Hi Kristina,
Like mentioned by Billur, this is possible to do. The inventory model is specified on the item model group which gives you the freedom to do the setup as per your question. It would be recommended to discuss this carefully with the customer and let them understand the differences. In addition, a confirmation from their accountant would be good to have a full alignment.
Hello Andre!
Thank you for this clarification. I am an accountant myself and this customer is also aware about the differences in the inventory setup and item model group. As a consultant I want the customer to be aware about what will happen when they decide what model to go for. The decision in these cases are always a business decision from my point of view, but I need the customer to be aware of the outcome/process they want to make :-)
