Query to add costs..

Hello,

Is there a query that I can use to put item costs? At this moment, I've added all my items with prices only.  It's taking me too long to go through my old invoices to find the cost of every item I have purchased so I decided to put approximate costs for every item for now and fix them as we get new shipments everyday.

I would like to know if there's a query that I can use to put item costs for any items under Supplier "XYZ" which cost=0, to be 33.33% of prices I entered.  I need a query for HQ database please.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Al

    Hi there.

I suggest you talk to your partner, as making direct tSQL queries have to be done by someone knowledgeable, always with a previous backup of the database and always with RMS HQ Server stopped.

Also, You will have to define better what You want, as Cost value is not only in the Item table. If you have Matrix Items, there is a Cost value in ItemClass table or there is a Cost (snapshot) in ItemDynamic table (Cost per store)...

hope this helps a little bit... A.

    Hello Antonijo,

I tried my partner but he only told me how to update the transactioncost, not the actual item cost.  He seems like he doesn't know how to do it... :(

I only have standard items in the suppliers that I want to add costs.  For the "snapshot" costs or "cost per store" you mentioned, isn't it possible to just use the worksheet 302 (Change Item Costs) to apply to store levels as long as I have the costs in the item table? i.e wouldn't the worksheet or "data upload from store" update costs automatically in other tables if we have costs in the Item Table?

    Thank you.

    Al
