We are having a very unique Webapps login issue on this particular user. This user is now the only one who can’t login Webapps .

  1. When SL user(User Maintenance) = Employee/Resource Maintenance screen user id :

she cannot log in to Web Apps. She just get bounced back to the logon screen after she enters the password.

Below is the web client error log

2. When there is no user id on the Employee/Resource Maintenance screen:

she can log on to Web Apps, but get the error message : “ TC Entry 10272- SL User rlehman should be associated with one Employee” after she selects the project option.

Error log:

2/5/2016 1:42 PM             Login     Access Rights Failure      10272 - SL User RLEHMAN should be associated with one Employee. ()

There are a few different things that can cause this error. The most common is if you don't associated the web apps user with an employee in the employee and resource maintenance screen. Here are the steps to do this if you haven't already done so.

    1. Open the User Maintenance screen.

    2. Select the SL user id that is associated with the windows login you are attempting to use to log into web apps.

    3. Verify that the Windows User Name field reflects the correct domain/user name

    4. Open the Employee and Resource Maintenance screen.

    5. Select the appropriate employee ID.

    6. The user ID field should be filled out with the User ID from the User Maintenance screen.

The second most common cause is if you have more than one SL user_id associated with the same employee or if you have more than 1 employee associated with the same use_id. The employee ID and windows account is a 1 to 1 relationship. Meaning only one user_id can be associated with one employee and only one employee ID can be associated with one SL user_ID. Both of these queries should only return 1 record.

--Run this against the app database. Replace SYSADMIN with the SL user that is being used for web apps

select USER_id,employee,* from pjemploy where user_id='SYSADMIN'

--Run this against the system database. Replace domain\user with the domain/user associated with the web apps login

select WindowsUserAcct,DefaultUser,* from userrec where windowsuseracct='domain/user' and defaultuser='1'

We experienced this problem as well.  Go into the native client, Employee and Resource Maintenance screen and make sure RLEHMAN is specified for only one employee record.
