Add Lines at Counting Lines Journal - Item XXX is locked for updates in warehouse WH1 because it is being counted.

Dear All,

I had generate counting journal by warehouse and location,

for example item A, 

when I generate counting journal by whse ONE and Location LOC, item A was listed.

turn out the quantity located at Whse TWO and location STOCK.

user tried to add new line for item A at counting journal whse TWO and location STOCK.

but later, infolog show message 'Item A is locked for updates in warehouse WH1 because it is being counted.'

 

is there any setting to enable item A to able be created as new lines  at whse TWO and location stock ?

    Inventory and warehouse management parameters > Counting > Lock items during count

    Hi Benjamin,

    Try to configure Warehouse Items, list all the warehouse and location that needs to be counted for the item..

    1. Product info> Released Products > Manage inventory > Warehouse items

    2. Delete old counting journal, create new and post

    If I do that, then user able to post transaction , for example receipt and picking list journal ?

    I just want to able create new line at counting journal warehouse one and location STOCK, other user will process the counting journal at warehouse two and location LOC.

    for point 1 : could I configure after I generate counting journal ? or I should configure before I generate ?

    point 2 : I still using the old counting journal, our situation is : we already configure item location at whse one and location loc, at AX we have on hand at location LOC, but physically item located at whse one and location stock.

    item listed at counting journal whse one and location loc, but at counting journal whse one and location stock, the item not listed.

    we tried to create new lines for those item at whse one and location stock, but we got message like mentioned above.

    how to able the item listed at two counting journal ?

    if you activate lock during counting, you can not post until count finished (posted) as DeadmanWNC said from

    Inventory and warehouse management parameters > Counting > Lock items during count

    also, you can create count group and warehouse items to lock this group for the select warehouse in count journal
