Hi everybody,

I have configured Ms CRM 2016 (update 365 (8.2)) with adfs 3.0 and ifd.

Microsoft mobile app work currently and i have complete access to the crm with this address: https://myorg.mydomain.com

installation scenario is 3 different Servers: CRM Server(443) - SQL Server - Adfs Server(443)

i should mention that i have 2 trusted domain and all servers are installed in main domain and all servers are windows server 2016 and the domains are windows sever 2008 r2.

Every is ok but there is a big problem?!!!

When i create any new record such as account , letter, task, lead or contact the system create two (2) times record.

I have checked event viewer of both crm and adfs server and noting special found.

thank you in advanced to show me any clue or a good work around .

    Hi Radu,

No custom workflows, plug-ins or JavaScripts i remove everything and check with blank database which the problem exist.

Checking Fiddler is a good  idea will check it ASAP!

the problem is when we use ADFS / IFD and there is no problem when we open crm with http and local ip or server name.

and main problem is different result in different browsers (firefox and chrome)!

    Thanks,

do you have any custom workflows, plug-ins or JavaScripts triggered when you create the record?

I would also collect a Fiddler trace and see how many create requests go out from the client. This could help narrow down the issue.

In addition a CRM Platform trace at a verbose level when reproducing the issue would add value, as you can identify the thread that creates the duplicate and track down the trigger.

Normally it shouldn't have anything to do with ADFS / IFD as this handles the authentication part and does not generate any CRUD requests.

Do you have anything in between the client and the CRM/ADFS server (network applications or so?) If you disable / bypass those do you see any difference?

    Regards,

    Radu

    Hi David,

    Thank you for providing solution.

For On-demand WF i will check it tomorrow and will tell you the result.

Some other strange thing for different browsers:

in some chrome browsers no problem in some of them yes.

in Firefox the problem exist any version i checked

in ie no problem but some functionality not working

about save some records (synchronous WF) splash sql problem for asynchronous   WF no problem.

other strange thing: with http access no problem, only problem happen when we use ifd or claim based connection type.

That sounds very strange. I would start by trying to identify if the issue is with the CRM user interface, or the servers. Can you create an on-demand workflow that creates a record, then run that workflow once. If two records are created (and the workflow has only run once), then the issue will be on the server, but if only one record is created, then the issue is more likely to be with the CRM user interface. Have you tried using different browsers and different users ?
