Applying Security on POS from HQ

Posted on by 750

Hi All,

I want to disable some menu in the POS. I have more than 28 Showrooms. It is not feasible for me to go each showrooms and change the security settings.

I am trying to do this from SQL command Sheet from the HQ. But the problem is that when i applied the command it is not saved in the Store Database.

Please Help me to applying this securties from the Headquarters.

thanks

Umar Khitab

I know it's been a while, but just saw this post. The Retail Realm HQ & Store Utilities has that function built in.

you need to understand the privileges functions as they use some kind of HASH in the db, like 123423 and 123111 so all possibilites are covered, i used to copy one to another but it seems each pos is different, so therefore use this...

i wrote a PHP intranet that adds cashiers or disables them on hq basis...

you find perms of the cashier you need to clone..

    then

$perms = "7245756";  // or something else then i create the worksheet , then i create a loop of stores and

insert into cashier the right perms

    [privileges]

insert into cashier (number, storeid, name, password, floorlimit, returnlimit, cashdrawernumber, securitylevel,[privileges],emailaddress, maxovershortamount, maxovershortpercent, overshortlimittype, telephone) values ($number,0,'$name','$num',2000,200,0,'$ger','$perms','',0,0,0,'')

    something like that

There's a short guide posted at www.beansmart.com/.../copy-security-settings-for-rms-store-ops-2-0-to-other-stores-35719-.htm , but I have not  looked at it in depth or tested it to make sure everything is correct.
