How System Admin can delete Personal Dashboards

We have a few Users who have left the company but have shared views and Dashboards that are no longer relevant. We are would like to delete these but because the Users have been removed from the Active Directory I am unable to log in as them to assign the dashboards to myself/System Admin.

Is there any other way we can remove these dashboards from our CRM?

    Hi Amber SNA

You could download the xrmtoolbox and use the personal Aretefact manager plugin, once you have enambled the CRM user to delete personal views and dashboards

    download here: https://www.xrmtoolbox.com/

    Hi Amber ,

Are you getting any getting any error ?

When you delete User from AD , the user will be still exists in CRM database , so do an advanced find and search of the records owner ='abc' and then select all  dashboard and assign it to other user.

    Hi,

Take a look at this thread. Option (other than re enabling disabled user) is to use the out of box "Reassign Records" functionality. Though this will reassign all the records owned by the disabled user. In a way it is good as you would not want to have records assigned to disabled users.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Amber SNA,

The only alternative solution I can think of is to delete the dashboards directly from the database.

Thanks Adrian, had hoped to get there without code...

    Hi Amber SNA,

You can achieve this by impersonating the user using the ActOnBehalfOf privilege. After doing this you will be able to perform a Delete action on user owned dashboards with DeleteRequest or Delete.
