Planning for purchasing Ingredients required for production orders

Hello,

I work at a food manufacturing facility. We have recipes for baking cakes, which are entered as Production BOMs, and enter the released production orders 2 weeks ahead of the actual bakes.

I was wondering if there was functionality available in Nav which would take all of the current released production orders, and generate a listing of the required ingredients and amounts? Even better would be a report that shows the requirements, and the current item availability.

Hello,

In NAV, Manufacturing Granule, you have a few reports you can use:

1. Prod. Order Shortage List

2. Prod Order - Mat. Requisition

There is a Prod. Order - Picking List but the others might better suit you.

If you are trying to see if you have enough ingredients, are you also using the MRP or Requisition Worksheet to create the PO's for the raw materials?

If these will not work, you can turn to Jet Reports or maybe an ODBC Query into Excel.
