GMAIL SMTP.GMAIL.COM NOT WORKING

On configure smtp.gmail.com And PORT 587 in Microsoft Dynamics Nav 2016 getting error as : The SMTP mail system returned the following error: "The remote certificate is invalid according to the validation procedure."

smtp.gmail.com, noreply@domainname.com

My Vrsion Details as below:

Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016
Version IN DYnamics NAV 9.0
9.0.50087.0
Copyright 2015 Microsoft. All Rights reserved

Mail Send From SSMS - Database mail using same configuration but mail not sent from Navision 2016 Application Front End.

Port 25 working but will no longer use as our email server has been changed from local mail server mail.domainname.com to Gmail.

Error on send test mail:

The SMTP mail system returned the following error: "The remote certificate is invalid according to the validation procedure.".

Hello,

This is most likely an issue with missing Tls1.2. In later CU, we added support for Tls1.2 Are you running an older build or Cumulative Update of Dynamics NAV 2016, then you should consider to upgrade to a later CU.

Hello,

The support for Tls 1.2 was first added in 9.0.50293.0. This is the reason for the failure. You must upgrade to a more recent CU. Your build shows this specific environment is running 38 CU's behind.

Most recent:

support.microsoft.com/.../cumulative-update-67-for-microsoft-dynamics-nav-2016-build-52168-7d252e03-84ea-434b-8da7-257ccdde9356

CU31 should also be fine (50293).

Hello,

This is a question for others. From Microsoft perspective, please note that Dynamics NAV 2016 went out of product life cycle support. First supported release (still) is Dynamics NAV 2018 and Business Central Spring release (v14) / Business Central 2021 Wave 1 (v18).

Hello Kewal,

Can you please check your GMAIL setting is same as below. if no, Do it and try again to send email from NAV2016.

In Gmail Settings :

> Security > Enhanced Safe Browsing for your account = OFF

>Security > Less Secure app Access
