Export reports to excel without page numbers

ReportReport
Posted on by 710

Hi,

My problem is that I have modified a report to be automatically saved as Ascii file(xls-file), but the excel file contains page-information. I have managed to print header labels only at the beginning, but can't find a way to remove page-finformation which takes a full row.

Does anyone have a clue if this could be fixed somehow?

Thanks,

Mikko

    Hello Mikko.

    In the print options when you save the ASCII file, there is a small checkmark named "print everything on a single page" if this is checked the page headers won't be repeated throughout the file and now only exist at the beginning.

    Best regards.

    Yes, it looks like that works if the report is printed normally. But I have modified the dialog and some of the print settings like instructed in this blog:

    shekhardiptiman.wordpress.com/.../dynamics-ax-2009-exporting-data-to-excel-part2

    So in this case, I'm "overriding" the settings from Options-button. But now I don't know how to force this functionality. I have tried to add this on Run-method:     this.printJobSettings().singleLargePage(true);

    But it's not helping. Any suggestions how to enable it?

    Thanks,

    Migi

    Hello, I also tested example in link you mentioned but it didn't work.

    First it didn't fetch *.csv and *.xsl file types into FileSave Dialog and when I fixed it it didn't care about converting Report into selected format (.xsl or .csv).

    Does anyone know any working solutions?

    years later i also attempted this and found the solution, you dont only need singlepagefile, but also the virtualpageheight setting

    this.printJobSettings().singleLargePage(true);

    this.printJobSettings().virtualPageHeight(0);

    when adding both lines, this worked for me - the page info was only shown once at the top
