I've written a Fetch XML query and I now want to import it into the Advanced Find View as a Saved query and see the results. How do you do this ? thank you.

From looking into this , it looks like I have to import the Fetchxml as part of a solution. I've already exported the Default customizations.xml. Is it possible just to import Fetchxml query and not the entire customizations.xml into CRM ?

If you are using CRM 2016, create a solution that includes only the system view with the same columns as your fetchxml as a starting point, export the solution, extract customization.xml from the zip file, replace the original fetchxml with your fetchxml, add customization.xml back in the zip file, then import it.

This looks good, but how does one put the C# code into the CRM application ?

Unless you're a developer I'd forget about trying to programmatically create views.  Instead it may be worth you using the View Designer within XrmToolBox.  Although you cannot create a view from scratch you can create a new view within CRM (only needs to consist of 1 column for your chosen entity), open it in View Designer, Click Edit XML and then paste in what you've got, overwriting that single column.  Also a lot less tedious that amending the XML from an exported solution or writing C#.

Create a console application and add your fetch xml. It will create your view. Uriy has already given the link. Please refer that.

    Thanks,

No code solution. Use this trick to construct Advanced find query from a fetchxml: www.linkedin.com/.../generate-fetchxml-condition-crm-advanced-find-using-query-kumar

Then you can save as personal view or recreate as a system view.
