I am attempting to calculate planning on a production order. I have a Production BOM and Routing that seem to function correctly, with the Routing listing several Machine Centers which all exist under the same Work Center. I have assigned this Work Center to a Shop Calendar, and assigned that Shop Calendar a list of Working Hours. I ran the "Calculate" function for the Work Center and it lists all the correct hours of capacity in the Calendar Matrix. I can see the dates that my Production Order ought to be assigning work for, and the Calendar Matrix indicates that enough capacity exists on those dates.
When attempting to "Refresh Production Order", or to "Create Production Order" on a line item from a Sales Order, I get the error "Error when calculating backward. Calendar is not available before [date] for Machine Center [machine center name]."
Any ideas? I've been chasing this in circles all morning and I can't figure out what I'm missing.
When calculating the Work Centre Calendar always go a bit backwards, even up to a year, just to include everything. You may find that the planning is trying to go backwards just that little bit further than expected because the Work Centre Calendar is only calculated from yesterday onwards but calculating backwards it should take 3 days.
