Income Statement report generated out-of-the-box, not matching with FRx reports

ReportReport

Hi,

An income statement is generated out-of-the-box in GP through Reports->Financial->Financial Statements.

Few transactions were missing in this report. But they are present in the FRx report. Please assist me to include them in the report.

Also I would like to know which GP tables are used while generating Profit or Loss reports (out-of-the-box).
Any insights would help us better.

Thanks in advance!

The GL10110 and GL10111 are the GL summary tables and the GL20000 will have the current year activity detail. I would start by checking your row definitions in AFA vs FRx.

    Hi Richard,

Thanks for a quick response. I had actually checked these tables for the missed transactions and these (GL10110, GL10111, GL00105) contain them. And now from a quick analysis I found that, those with ACCATNUM as 37 i.e., 'Other Employee Expenses' are missing in the AFA report . Please do tell me if there is a way to include them.

    Thanks!

The account categories are in GL00102. If you to Tools->Setup->Financials->Account Categories do you see 'Other Employee Expenses'. Does it match what you see in GL00102?

All the categories in GL00102 are present in the specified path.

Try going to Cards->Financial->Account and for these accounts select a different category, Save and then pull them up again and set them back to 'Other Employee Expenses' . Also, in your AFA report make sure the account type is set to Account Category and the Category is 'Other Employee Expenses' . You may want to reselect the category in the event someone has change the account category list since this report was created.

Thanks, Richard. That was really helpful.

When I changed the category, those transactions appeared in the report. And when changed back to 'Other Employee Expenses', they aren't included in the report. hence I got to know that in the report layout in AFA, there isn't a row indicating this category.I don't get how to add it. Can you please lead me through this.

    Many Thanks!

Tools->Setup->Financial->Category slide down to the bottom and click in the empty space. Use the down arrow to add as many categories as needed.

Thanks, but I didn't mean to add a new account category. I just want to include 'Other Employee Expenses' category as a row in the AFA report Layout. Please let me know the way to do this.

That was really helpful. Now I added the row to the AFA report layout. Thanks for your help :)
