Implement production on-premise?

My understanding is that Microsoft must deploy to production in the Azure-hosted environment(?). What about the on-premise version. Do we have the ability to deploy to dev/test/prod on our own servers ourselves? There is some concern that we still would be required to run production in Azure.

    Deploying it on-premises is possible. On-premises deployment landing page is the best starting point if you want to learn more.

    Note that this is about production; development and demo environments have always been available as downloadable VHDs.
