hi guys

can anyone explain 

Extended Field IDs

i read about it in microsoft docs

docs.microsoft.com/.../extended-field-ids

but i didn't understand i need clear explanation please

    Actually, the best example of this structure is sysDim in ax 2009. In the past, financial dimensions held all values. As now, instead of keeping the value in a different table and writing the related recId to table, the field in the table was had a sysDim type field with all the values in it (such as Dim[1] = "abc", Dim[2] = "def"). We used to get the values from the fields (which we can say in array type) with index.
