Problem with CRM 4.0 Data Migration Manager

Hi,

 I've installed CRM 4.0 Data Migration Manger and its working fine.

But the problem arises when i created another company.

I've created 2 companies say TestCrm-1 and another company TestCrm-2.  Now when i try to import data into the second company (TestCrm-2) using the Data Migration Manager it imports the data in my first company (TestCrm-1).

I've made TestCrm-2 as the default company but still no luck.

 Can anybody help on this?

    From my experience with DMM you can only tie an installation to a single company.  In the past I had to delete the application and its related databases, and then reinstall the application and tie it to the second company.  Not the best situation when you support multiple organizations.

    I have gotten around this lately by using virtual images of Vista or XP running under Virtual PC.  Set up one for each company, and start when needed.

     

    I hope that as DMM improves they add multitenancy to the featureset.

    Thanks Brian,

     I already got it working.

    I've to delete the MSCRM_Migration Database then i've to reconfigure the DMM and it starts working fine now.

    But yeah this is ture that whenever you create new Organization in CRM every time you have to delete the MSCRM_Migration database and then reconfigure it for the new Organization to get DMM work properly.

     

    But now i'm facing new problem with the DMM, i've added one new member as the Deployment Manager and given System administrator rights to him.

    But when he tries to logon to DMM it always give an error:

    "The Data Migration Manager encountered an error while setting up the temporary migration database. Restart the  Data Migration Manager, then try migrating the data again."
