Tool - kind of resource

Dear Users,
My customer needs to coordinate tools in the production department. Beside of typical resources they want to know what kind of tool is necessary to use in production order. How to connect resource type: machine and resource type: tool in one route? Is it possible?

for example: tool - Driller, grinder. I do not have to create plan for using this, but I want to know that it is necessary to proceed some route.

Is there any way in R3 to follow tool utilization? 

How do you deal with it?

    Hi Pawel,

    I'm writing a blog piece on this, but it is not finished yet.

    You need to add an additional secondary operation in your route. If drilling is the operation and that require a worker on operation 10, then you add a line for this as the primary resource. Then find the required resource requirement for the operator.

    Then you add an operation for the tool. This is also operation 10, but a secondary operation. Resource requirement for the tool is added.

    These will be planned in parallel, so if you have enough operators, but not enough tools for the job, this would be taken in to consideration as well.
