Change Authentication from Kerberos to SAML

Hey everyone,

we are planning a Migration from Dynamics 365 CRM 8.2 on-prem to Dynamics 365 9.1 on-prem.
So far so good, we are planning to deploy a new environment based on 9.1 an then migrate the data from the old environment.

As it comes to planning, were are now only able to use kerberos authentication in our infrastructure as there is no ADFS implemented and no internet-facing needed . Within the next year ADFS will be available.
Is it advisable to wait until the ADFS Infrastructure is fully implemented or can we deploy the evironment by using Kerberos and "easily" switch to SAML in the future? Are there any concerns by switching the authentication method in the running environment?

thanks in advance

    Hello TSU,

    Hope you are well.

When you configure Claims-based auth/IFD, Dynamics 365 app will switch the authentication method automatically based on the endpoint to be used (internal or external URL), considering Windows Integration Auth (Kerberos) or Forms based Auth (SAML).

On my standpoint of view, no further concerning about the set up.

    Regards,
