Hi Guys,
I want to update our Server from Windows 2008 R2 running GP to windows Server 2012 R2, will this affect GP in anyway does anyone know?

Hi Jerden,
I have had many people do this and they have experienced no problems. I personally had an issue with upgrading the OS on one of my internal machines but that is not to say you are going to run into that issue.

My gut on this one is Jonathan is right - 99 out of 100 times you're not going to encounter a problem. The part of me that constantly tells my sons to "take time, NOT chances" would ask more questions.
Mainly - what GP components are installed on this machine?
Additionally, what is your "fall back strategy" should something go wrong. If I were you, at a minimum, I would want to have a verified disaster recovery plan prior to pulling the trigger on this.
I personally would convert it to a Virtual Machine (this is a copy process, not a true conversion) and ensure I can start the VM on another device, prior to attempting this upgrade.
