Can you change Reporting Periods in Timesheet Setup Window?

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

We have a company where Timesheet Setup has Reporting Periods set to "Daily" and would like to change it to "Weekly", but it is greyed out.  Is it possible to change it?  If so, how would you accomplish this?

    Hello,

You would need to do this through SQL, but you would first want to make sure that all transactions are currently posted first.  Going forward you would use Weekly periods, but transactions that have been entered and posted previously would still use the old reporting period set up.

Always make sure you have a backup of your database before updating SQL, and I would recommend doing this in a Test company with a copy of live first to make sure you get your desired outcome.

    I hope this helps!
