Custom Ribbon Action not available offline

Hello, my custom ribbon action does not appear, when the "Dynamics 365 App for Phone" is offline. I have a display rule that checks whether the user is allowed to create a certain entity. In online mode the custom action works perfectly fine. It calls a custom JavaScript function. How to make the custom action appear in offline mode, too?

    Hello Martype,

    The custom ribbon action can have multiple reasons to not properly execute, like in your Javascript you use code which is not compatible with App for Phone, could you please verify if the button has the proper functionality in Unified Interface in general?

    Could you please verify if the button is available in Unified Interface for a custom Modern Driven App which works offline as well and switch your browser from the debugger interface to online confirming if the button is available there?

    I will recommend opening a ticket for Microsoft support in order to verify the functionality.

    My action works perfectly fine in both UIs. The only problem is, that it doesn’t show up when the mobile app is in offline mode.

    No disrespect, but I think you did not understand the problem. There is no issue with my JavaScript Code. I don’t think there is a code analyzer in d365 that checks whether the code of a custom action is offline compatible or not, or is it? I am asking for general knowledge here. There must be a setting or maybe some display rule that makes the action available in offline mode, too. The documentation just didn’t tell me so far.

    But actually it simply could be a bug in d365. Therefore you are right that creating a service request is the right way to go.

    Hi!

    I think that you can set the "CrmOfflineAccessStateRule" for the Custom Ribbon.
