How to generate Lead ID?

Hello,

I have a problem with LeadID in D365. I see that, there is Lead ID field as a primary key in CRM. But when I add the field to form or to view, the value is empty.

Moreover, when I got CRM databese to Power BI, I see the lead ID.

What can I do to see it in CRM?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Izabela

    Hi Iza,

    Lead ID is not field for real id.

    You could create a flow to get Lead ID value when a lead record is created.

    Why can't we use workflow?

    -> Because Lead(lead) will be automatically mapped to lead record fullname in workflow.

    @Dilyana,

    Thanks for your answer, but unfortunately it doesn't work in my case...

    Can you recommend me any other solution?

    Hi @Iza,

    The ID gets populated when you save the record  for the first time.

    If you were looking at it before saving, this would explain why it wouldn't have been blank.

    Thanks,
