There is a way to limit discounts only if you fix it. Like 10%-15%-20%. What you do is to program the extra keys and give access to these keys to those authorized to use it. I know this is not the best solution but its better than nothing....

Yasser:
How do you give/limit access to those keys (on the POS)?
This might help with another problem...
On my RMS install, security level 3 has access to the discount key (Shift+F3), and security level 4 does not...
I can't figure out where this is done.
Thanks,
Eric
Eric:
Record a Macro for the required discunt on one of the extra keys. Then through securty give access to the required securty levels. Also lock the Shift-F3 for every one. This should do it,
Thanks

Thanks Yesser.
For the life of me and can't figure out to use security with the keys that are on the POS.
I can do security for the manager application no problem, but I don't know how to use security with POS buttons.
PS. It's nice to see some activity in this forum...
Simple. On the bottom left of the POS there are two buttons next to the F1/F2/F3.... buttons. If you click on the botton one you will see the lock then you can click the Ctrl S and work the same way as in manager.
Yasser, I can not thank you enough for pointing out this PAINFULLY, though anything but, obvious detail!
I have clicked the blank button above it, and knew it cycled through the various other button layouts (shift, ctrl, alt), but I guess I NEVER clicked that one...
Thank you again so very much. This is a huge mystery solved for me.
Record the macro but does not do me an effect steps are the following:
Crtl+ f3
Shift+ f3 I invest discount and I elect motive
After again ctrl+ f3 to finish recording macro and nothing
help please
