Hi All,
If we are executing Product A and Product B with different routes and same resources. If we use same resources for 2 different Finished good.
Cost is calculated separately for Product A and B as per resource cost, but practically resource cost should be divided as we are making use of same resource.
Example: Product A with Resource 1 hourly cost as 500 for finished good. Practically he also manufactures Product B. So resource cost should be divided equally to both of them so that 250 per product will be applied.
Is there any way possible to achieve this in standard Shared resource management in D365fo ?
Hi Anne,
Thanks for your response.
But I am expecting system to calculate the cost as per practical usage in shop floor. But Unfortunately i am unable to achieve them automatically, As you said we can manually enter data by reducing hours or quantity as per resource allocation which is again manual intervention.
Based on my understanding, all of the cost for route operations in Dynamics is driven off of cost categories which are either per hour or per quantity, and can be defaulted on a resource but also overridden for specific route operations as well. In this case you might consider whether a per quantity cost would get you the most accurate cost to reflect how much of product A is being made vs how much of product B but as far as I know there is no other way to split the resource cost across jobs being run on it at the same time unless maybe you are looking at job bundling
