updating price items via configuration packages

Hi! We are running an onprem version of bc (W1 16.19) hosted in Azure and will soon make the transition to SaaS but in the meantime have a small query!

I am trying to update Items via configuration packages updating the least number of mandatory attributes.

However whilst the item is being updated correctly in BC,  it is as though the modification is not bring registered and I have a blank last modified date in the case of a product addition (see screenshot) and as a result the updated date is not pushed down into CRM! Similar situation with item modifications.

What am I missing?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi
I could advise you to review the validations that the record goes through, analyze if the validation of the field or the event that updates this field in the insertion is being triggered.
It wouldn't hurt to check the latest versions of cumulative update of w1 16, I'm not sure there isn't a bug in some case.
    Best regards
    Gerardo

    Hi,

When using Configuration Packages in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for updating items, if the "Last Modified Date" is not being updated accordingly,

you need to add the last date modified into the configuration package and add validation as well.

Thank you for all your feedback and as advised I have added the 'Last Date Modified' and also the 'Last DateTime Modified' to the config file and added the validation..

BC once again updated correctly and this time the last date modified too!

However running a sync still does not detect any item modifications!

Any ideas what I can try next?

    cheers
