Trial of Essentials Level of Business Central / Comparative List of Events in BC Essential vs Premium?

Is anyone in the community able to tell me if there is a way to do a 30 day trial with an experience of an "Essentials" level user?

I am looking to NOT have the ability for service & mfg. to see what that experience looks like.

Also, is there a public list of which Events are available in the "Essentials" version versus "Premium"?

I'd like to be able to see which hooks / connection points are available to extension development in one versus the other.

Thanks in advance,

Anthony

Go to appsource and you will find a business central trial you can add to your office 365 tenant. For development focussed queries you may want to explore using docker as that enables you to have a local copy of BC. Best site for getting going here is https://freddysblog.com/

Otherwise I would install vs code and some AL related extensions. AZ AL is good as it lets you browse the base and system apps. You can then search the base code for events. The overall AL extension comes with an AL event browser too. Big differences between the licenses will be simple. Premium you get the objects for the extra modules. Essentials you do not. All other events used by the essentials modules are then up for grabs.

Josh, thanks for taking the time to answer, and for you suggestions.

I'm familiar with obtaining the trial, but I do not know of a way to pick the level of subscription.

I'm also familiar with VSC's intelligent suggestions, but I will download and try AZ AL, and look at ...freddy'sblog...

So it sounds like there's no master list with which to work. Are the objects supporting each of the 2 modules so clearly delineated that there is no investigation required for each to see if a given object might support more than just one of those two modules?

    Thanks again.

In the trial if you want to get premium just go to the company information page and flip the experience to be premium. From an object stand point you will have access to all objects. Without flipping the experience you cannot run the premium objects in the UI.

No master list per say but like I said you can search for all events. Maybe a community resource exists for this but I’m not aware.

Josh, The user experience option was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks so much!
