Is there a set template for excel for Inventory Items? I would like to be able to enter the data in excel over time, then copy and paste it into inventory items. Is this possible?

Good day -
Thank you for posting your question on the forum.
Typically when sites copy from a spreadsheet into a SL screen, it is to populate a grid, not the data fields as seen in the Inventory Item screen. To bring data into a screen like this we suggest using Transaction Import (TI).

TI is a tool available in all versions of SL and without special registration/unlocking keys. TI can be found under the Administration menu group. Below is a link to a video on this tool. you can also find information on TI in the System Manager User Guide. User Guides are typically installed on your SL application server in a folder similar to the following:
...\Microsoft Dynamics\SL\Applications\User Guides\SystemManager.pdf
By using TI, you can update a comma delimited file (Excel) that can be manually updated, then import as needed into SL.
I hope this is what you were looking for.
Thank you

Hi, if you whis we can develop an excel file that do all that you need without TI, just executing a store procedure.
Basically is the excel file that you already have, and we just add the execution to the store procedure.
If you're interested let me know.
