Hi,

I have this zero quantity .01 inventory value on the inventory valuation report. How do I make the $.01 go away?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

The times I've seen something similar it has usually been with items using the Average Cost method, although in your case it's FIFO. It could be related to rounding issues, as I've come across that on a few occasions.

Do you have multiple warehouses? If so, are you filtering by a specific warehouse or excluding any warehouses when running the report?

I have a feeling it is a rounding issue from a cost adjustment of some kind. You may be able to quickly see the value entries for a 0.01 actual cost line. I would test this in a copy/sandbox first but if you run the Adjust Cost - Item Entries process and post to the G/L does that revalue/correct the penny amount?

Hi, start with Adjust Cost - Item Entries on that item, then Post Inventory Cost to G/L. Often the cent is just an item charge or invoice that posted after the entry closed, and the adjustment clears it by itself.

Glad to help - follow up if anything is unclear.

Grigorios - I did adjust cost - item entries and it didn't do anything.

Teagan - Adjust Cost - Item entries didn't do anything.

Daniel - I do have multiple warehouses and this shows up on a specific one.

Microsoft explained this issue in its official documentation.
Business Central Design Details: Known Item Application Issue (where the inventory level is zero although open item ledger entries exist)

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.
