hi,

I am working with multiple clients and for one of the client the VS does not show any references. The VS is Microsoft Visual Studio Professional 2019 and Version is 16.11.23 .

Can any one help me

1) how do i update the VS version

2) how to update the references for D365 FO . eg if I right click on sales table and select "Find references" then this should show all the objects related to it.

Note that I have already done a full build.

Thanks,

VK

Like Martin mentioned, "Build cross reference data" worked.

Check out the contents of the xref database. If the data isn't there, you have a problem with missing data and not Visual Studio ignoring the data.

    Hi Martin ,

I have done this and it showed me the references however today when I checked back again then the references does not show the resuts.

I have done the full build previously too before this but it seems that somehow it stops showing the references after some time.

Has this got to do anything with the VS version  ?

Make sure you run the model build with "Build cross reference data" (configurable at the Options tab). If you want references for the whole application, you need to build all models (with this option selected).
