two companies on one instance

Without making another instance is there a way to have two businesses in one CRM?

We have two separate businesses that run under one tenant. I don't want to make another production instance for the other company. Is there any good ideas to serperate Company A's accounts and Company B's accounts?

Thanks so much

There are several questions that need to be answered on this. Do both companies want the same customizations? Do you have a large number of workflows running? Will these need to run for both companies? Do you have users that need access to both?

It is definitely possible to include both companies and separate with business units and security. So there would be your root business unit and then business units for Company A and Company B. Under those you could divide based on any other divisions necessary.

People who need access to all accounts from both companies can live in the root business unit (or best practice in a business unit directly under the root), people who need access to everything in one company could be in that companies business unit.

Most complicated piece will just be finalizing security to ensure people only see what they need while also allowing you to break down into logical groups via business units as necessary.

    I hope this helps!

    Hi

You could separate them as 2 different business units, You may need to duplicate forms and security roles for it but this is how I would normally do it.

So you would have HQ as the primary BU and then Company A and Company B as the children

Awesome Thanks. How do I make it so that Company A doesn't see Company B's accounts?
