computer check batch posting date

AP Computer check batch posting date is grayed out.  I've checked posting setup and it is set posting date from batch.  It is only happening for one company.  If I go into the AP Batch window and change the date prior to selecting Computer Checks as the Origin - then it let's me.  But as soon as I select the CC origin, the posting date field is grayed out.

If I start in another check window (select checks or edit check batch) then the origin is already populated on the batch entry screen so the date is already grayed out.

Batch posting date works fine for Transaction Entry and Manual Payment batches.

I've checked security and there is no field level security.  This happens for PowerUser (and sa) as well as other users.

The only ISV we have loaded that is linked to AP is PaperSave.

I'm certainly hoping someone will come back and give me an easy answer (then tell me to go take a nap). :)

    Hi Windi -

Thank you for using Microsoft Online Communities. I understand that you are having an issue where the posting date field is grayed out for your payables check batches.

I have found a a known bug that appears to have the same symptoms as this issue that has been out there for older versions.  For your reference, the bug number was 3915.

I was able to replicate this issue based on the steps in this bug.

I did did find information stating that if you mark Multicurrancy in the Registration window to show as registered you will then be able to change the posting date.   If you do this you will need to select a functional currency.  You would then want to remove security access from the other currencies so they are not used by mistake.

If you do not want to turn this on then you will not be able to change the date for the posting date on the batches.

    Best regards,

    Scott

I don't even know where to turn off multi-currency.  Can you give me a bit of direction?  I looked in Administration but didn't see it.
