Here is another option if you are using FRx: victoriayudin.com/.../dynamics-gp-trial-balance-in-excel-using-frx
You can export Trail Balance Report in 'Tab-Delimited'/'Comma Delimited' format, which is used to work in excel;
Go to Report >> Financial >> Trail Balance
Select Default from 'Option' and click on 'Modify'
Make Filter of your report
Click on Destination
Check on File and set path where to export on your machine,
In file format select 'Tab-Delimited'/'Comma Delimited'
There are also some other ways to generate Trail Balance in Excel. You can also use Smartlist builder/ Excel Report Builder, SSRS (if using GP 2010 R2)
