Translate - Change Language in Dynamics AX 2012 R3

Hi all !

Thanks for reading my question.

I'm from Vietnam, i installed Dynamics AX 2012 R3 in my computer but right now Dynamics AX does not support language Vietnam.

I want to change English language to Vietnam language, can you please give me instruction how to make it.

As far as I know, AX 2012 doesn't come with Vietnamese translation, therefore you can't switch it to. It's simply not there.

Maybe some local partner provides an unofficial translation. If it exists, you will have to obtain and install it before you can change your display language.

My teacher said that maybe AX has some way to translate words or sentence but i don't know how to do it !

AX does support translations (using label files), but I thought you're looking for an existing Vietnamese translation.

Can you please tell us what you're trying to achieve? Are you going to translate the whole Dynamics AX by yourself?

Hi Phan,

An ISV partner can create new languages for AX. For AX 2012 there is still a license code involved to be able to create a new language. The translation tool available on LCS can generate XLIFF files for translations and import translated files. As a partner it is possible to sign up for a translation service. I don't know if Vietnamese is also supported for this service. I have to check this. Also I doubt if this service is available for other parties besides partners.

It is also possible to send the translation files to a translator, apart from the Microsoft translation services. Note that the translation services are a subscription with several payment terms based on the number of words per month.

I only want to translate some module of Dynamics AX like "Fixed Access", "Procurement and sourcing", "Product information management".
