Modified Column Heading is not showing when printing EFT Remittance from word template

I have a modified Check Remittance template. The Modified form is used when testing and EFT remittance but a title on one of the columns does not show. The field was added in Report Writer and the XML template generator was used to create the template. The field is the PM Transaction Description. The field shows correctly in the body but I have modified the title of the field to "Description" .

It show correctly in word when viewing the template

But does not show on the actual form

Hi,

Not sure why you used the XML Template Generator... there is already a EFT Remittance Template in GP and it should be a matter of removing the XML source defintion from the Template and re-add it from the exported XML file you would get from the built-in GP Report on the modified report.

Hello,

It would be difficult to say exactly what is occurring without having a copy of your package file from Report Writer and a copy of your Template, but with header fields on Word Templates, you can right-click on the field, select Remove Content Control, and they just type whatever text you want to use for that header. So in your case, I would right-click on Description, Remove Content Control, delete the word Description off of your template and manually type Description in the field. Then do a File, Save As and save the template to the desktop. Then import that template back into Template Maintenance and set it as default.

Templates will print the text that is in the column as long as there is no Content control on it. If there is a Content control it will pull whatever is linked to that content control on the XML (which is what links it to report writer).
