Payroll Employee Summary Smart List

Hello,

I am running into a strange issue when trying to filter/search the Employee Summary Smart List. When I click on the *(asterisk) I can see all the employee data from 2014 through 2018. When I click on Search and enter a Search Criteria for Year = 2017 (or any other year), I get no results. This Smart List has not been modified and it's the default Smart List that comes with GP. I am testing it in TWO company and in GP 2016 v16.00.0579. I reinstalled the TWO test company, thinking maybe something was broken with my Smart List, but the issue still occurs. To resolve this, I created a brand new Smart List that uses the same exact data source ([EmployeeSummary] SQL view) and I can filter this one without any issues. Does anyone have an explanation or a solution? Thank you!
