(I'm a CRM 'Super User' for my company, but I'm not an IT guy....we lack IT support currently.)
We are using CRM to track customer deliverables. We have built our system with the Customer form at the Top level. The Customer form has a sub-grid listing called Contracts. The Contracts form has a sub-grid listing called Requirements and Customer Requirements has a sub-grid listing called Submittals. One of users inadvertently deleted a Requirement within the Requirements sub-grid in the Contracts Form. That requirement has 300 plus records within its Submital record sub-grid.
Basically we are built so are users can start at the Customer level and flow down thru the sub-grids. Customers-> Contracts->Requirements->Submittals
The Requirements are built into CRM separately then added into our Contracts form as a requirement that can be used in many Contracts. It is built this way so if a user deletes the Requirement listing in a Specific Contract form it doesn't delete the base Requirement record.
I can add the Requirement that was deleted back into the Contracts form. But the Submittals records don't re-appear, though I can search and find them via the Advanced Find function.
How can I reconnect the Submittal records back into my Requirement?
Hi, you'll need to populate the Lookup to Requirement field on the Submitals to look up to the appropriate Requirement so it creates the relationship, they then should appear in the sub grid. You can do this as a bulk edit or in excel online.
