Error on record2roleid control in Connection Information form (creating a connection) - something changed but do not know what

In a fresh instance, I do not get this error. But somewhere in another solution, I have caused some type of bad configuration but am unable to identify what the issue is.

When creating a connection, any connection, I try to fill out the To role. I get the following dialog error message when the "search" for role box is about to be displayed.

There was an error with this field's customized event.

Field: record2roleid

Event: setadditionalparams

Error: undefined

The assignment goes through but I always get this alert. After looking at events, the form properties, etc. I could not find any customizations at all on the connection entity but clearly something was changed, perhaps something hard to see.

Thoughts on how to resolve this problem?

The problem appears on the web and UCI interfaces.

    I know this is old , but I just had this issue when upgrading from 8.2 to 9.0 on premise , and you saved me hours of problems , adding a second field and deleting the first resolved the problem exactly as you stated

    I have no idea why this started occurring but I added a duplicate Role To control, removed the original one and it started working--that attribute no long gave me an error. Although this represents a customization, at least it seems to work Ok.

    Would I look on the Connection Form, because I could not find any. Or would I look elsewhere? I just saw that I could download the error message and here's what I had (UCI client in this case):

    Hey,

    I believe some system field is removed from Form which is required by System Script( considering you dont have any on the form), Can you please go to form customization and try to add missing fields.

    Or can you share list of un-used fields from Form Customization which are on right side?
