My Dataflow seems to be Frozen in the state of "In Progress"

I have three dataflows, (01) (02) and (03) for reference here.

(01) updates Table A, while (02) and (03) reference Table A that was updated in (01).

I'm suspicious that there is a lock being put on Table A, as it does not appear to be released as my (02) dataflow, which has been stuck in the "In progress" stage for days.

I can't seem to find any documentation on how to "Chain" Dataflows together so this doesn't happen, or how to even "Un Block" the table.

Can anyone give me any direction?

hi there! i see this post is almost a week old & hope you've resolved by now.
incase not, here are a few suggestions:

    • Check for Locks:
      • Verify if there are any locks on Table A that might be causing the dataflow to get stuck. You can use SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) to check for locks and release them if necessary.
    • Optimize Dataflows:
      • Break down your dataflows into smaller, more manageable parts. This can help reduce the complexity and prevent issues with locks.
      • Use the concept of computed tables or linked tables to build part of the transformation in one dataflow and reuse it in other dataflows.
    • Chain Dataflows Together:
      • You can chain dataflows together by scheduling them to run in sequence. For example, schedule Dataflow (01) to run first, followed by Dataflow (02) and then Dataflow (03).
      • Use Power Automate to create a flow that triggers the next dataflow once the previous one completes successfully.
    • Monitor Dataflow Performance:
      • Monitor the performance of your dataflows to identify any bottlenecks or issues. Use the refresh history and performance metrics to understand run times and optimize your dataflows.
    • Unblock Table:
      • If Table A is blocked, you can try refreshing the dataflow manually or setting up a scheduled refresh to ensure the data is loaded correctly.
        • Ensure that the data is not being loaded into the table unless the dataflow is refreshed.
