Can we create CoC or event handler to not insert something ?

Hi guys,

If I have some business logic which requires me to prevent / skip some data being inserted, how am I going to do that ?

can a CoC do that ? or Event Handler ? and may I know how to do it with an example.

For that you have inbuilt methods like validateWrite and validateField which will validate the values before inserting the record into the table.

Hi Voltes,

Can you provide information if this is related to a standard table/process or a custom table/process? What is the exact requirement about? When you want to change standard behavior of the application, there can be various caveats or logic where you can't hook in.
