Is there a way to stop users creating emails in dynamics 365?

We need the ability to

1. Stop users creating emails and

2. Remove the email activity menu item from the social pane.

Is there any way to do this?

I was hoping there was you could remove the create and write privilege on the email entity. It appears there is no email entity in any security role, I believe it all activities permissions are set against the activity entity.

I am thinking of using a workflow to raise an error when an email is created by a user. No error will occur when a email is created by a workflow as we have some system generated emails. Ideally it would be cleaner to remove the email menu item.

Unfortunately not, there are incoming emails and they want to see those against the case and contact.

Hi,

Possible options could be to write script on email form load to show error mesaage and close form, you can write plugin on email create throw error.

But you can't customize the social page to remove email activity from there.
