Can we allow user to buy item that out of stock

We are now using eCommerce for our business, and the default behavior does not allow customer to buy items out of stock, but in our business we need to allow this, can anyone help confirm whether this can be implement by update configuration or we need to customize business logic?

    Does it work if you set 'physical negative inventory" to Yes?

    Hi Todd,

    Thanks very much for your suggestion.

    I have tried to enable 'physical negative inventory' opton on both warehouse and inventory model group, and then run sync jobs, but the issue still exists.

    Hi,

    As per your description I assume that ecommerce site should not check for inventory status when client is trying to add products in card.

    To enable this setup please go to Site Builder >  Site Settings > Extensions > Inventory Management and assure that Enable inventory check on app is not enabled.

    Hi Dragos,

    Thanks very much for your help on this issue, it works for our issue.

    And with this change, we will never know the current available physical, we may need to implement this with some customization.

    Hi Erick,

    We're facing a similar issue. The requirement is to show inventory status messages ('Available', 'Limited Stock', 'Out of Stock') and also allow the customer to add out of stock items to cart.

    Did you find any out of the stock solution for this issue?

    Please do share your findings.
