Bank Reconciliation not filtering Total on Outstanding Checks

Using Business Central, version 23.5.16502.16589. On the Bank Acc. Reconciliation Page (379), prior to 12/31/2023 the Total on Outstanding Checks value was filtered
to the Statement Date manually entered in  the top 'General' section under Statement Date. However now the Total on Outstandings checks
Value is including every check up to 5/1/2024 and no filtering. Has anyone seen this or know the solution?
I have the same question (0)

Bank Reconciliation not filtering Total on Outstanding Checks

    Hi,

Thanks for sharing the issue. In Business Central version 23.5.16502.16589, if the Bank Acc. Reconciliation Page (Page 379) is no longer filtering the Total on Outstanding Checks based on the manually entered Statement Date, it could be due to a change in the page logic or a regression introduced in a recent update.

Here are a few things to check:

    1. Verify Page Filters:

      • Ensure that the Statement Date is correctly applied and that no other filters are overriding it.
      • Try manually applying a filter on the Check Date column to see if the totals adjust accordingly.
    2. Check for Customizations:

      • If your environment has customizations or extensions affecting Page 379, they might be interfering with the default filtering behavior.
    3. Review Microsoft Updates:

      • Check the release notes for version 23.5 to see if any changes were made to the reconciliation logic.
    4. Workaround:

      • As a temporary fix, consider exporting the data and applying filters externally (e.g., in Excel) until the issue is resolved.
    5. Report to Microsoft Support:

      • If this behavior differs from previous versions and no configuration changes were made, it may be worth raising a support ticket.

Let me know if you'd like help reviewing the page setup or checking for updates!

    Best regards,
    Daniele

It looks like in newer versions the Outstanding Checks total isn’t filtered by the statement date anymore and just shows all open entries. Not sure if it’s an intentional change or a bug  you might need to log it with Microsoft if filtering by statement date is required.
