We are currently printing shelf tags and bar codes on a HP Laserjet using Avery labels in sheets and would like to have a dedicated label printer.  What ones work well with MS Dynamics RMS software?

    The error means invalid command.

All the internal printer commands I have seen for Cognitive are single characters like S for string font and T for text font. Have you tried U for ultra font?

If that does not works let Cognitive support know you are trying to print a label from Notepad to a generic text-only driver using the onboard printer commands. This doesn't have anything to do with the point-of-sale program.

Aloha Jeff, I have just replaced a Cognitive Barcode Barcode Blaster with a Cognitive DLXi seems the same except that I am getting error code 001 at the first command in the label that we programmed which is ULTRA_FONT B20 (4,0,0) 217 10 MAUI TROPIX I have tried reaching out to Cognitive to see if their commands have changed but they say to come back to Microsoft since we program the labels. Can you help me? roxanne_hunter@msn.com

Just about any label printer will work.  If it has Windows drivers, you can use the RMS Label Designer to add/create/modify existing labels.  Like Tristan, we are partial to Zebra printers as well. but  have used Dymo, Brother, Seiko and Cognitive.

If it doesn't have Windows drivers, you have to program the label design by hand using the manufacture's programming language, usually not fun,

    The Zebra TLP2844 will work.
Also works with Brother label printer. Just install the drivers and off you go.
