OData connector very slow/timing

Hi,

I have been playing around Datamart and wanted to pull in a few tables to try out its capabilities. I quickly became aware that there has to be a problem with our OData/connector, because it's taking up to 5-10 minutes to bring a new tables in, and it's next to impossible to refresh them without timing.

I have always used the Business Central connector in PowerBi to create Data tables and reports without any problems. However, since this connector is not available in Datamart, I had to go with the OData one.
Clicking on the Odata link in Web Services, and connecting to it seems to be as sluggish, 5-6 minutes to open Object ID132 for 20k ish rows.

Is this normal behavior for a Odata connector?   problem on our side or with our Dynamics Partner?

Thanks

Which web services are in use? If it is queries there is little you can do. If it is pages you can do something. Standard BC pages can have a lot of code which cause a bottleneck here. Having specific queries or pages created may breed enhanced results until the connector becomes available.

Object type is a page for table Object ID 132. So there should be a possibility to filter out some of the unnecessary columns.

I played a bit with the Create Data Set to filter out most of the columns in another table, however ID 132 doesn't seem part of the data set for this tool.

What other tools do we have to filter Odata when importing it? Adding a select function at the end of the Odata link such as this?

    $select=No,Order_No,Sell_to_Customer_No,Sell_to_Customer_Name,Your_Reference,Ship_to_Code,Ship_to_Name,Ship_to_Post_Code,Ship_to_Country_Region_Code,Ship_to_Contact,Posting_Date,Location_Code

Currently playing with a table modified with Create Data Set, it's a bit sluggish, but it could also be the browser power query they are making us use in Datamart. We'll import more and see how it fares.

    Thanks,

    Thanks!

I'll need to look into AL and query creation.
